La senadora Soledad Alvear reiteró su preocupación por el impacto ambiental que ocasionará la deforestación del Fundo el Panul de La Florida para levantar el Proyecto Inmobiliario Panul de la empresa Gesterra.

La legisladora se reunió con la ex ministra de Bienes Nacionales, Romy Schmidt, la concejala PS de La Florida, Verónica Aliaga y los dirigentes sociales que conforman la Red por la protección de la precordillera de La Florida, quienes se encuentran en una campaña para rechazar el proyecto.

“Lo que hoy sucede con el Fundo el Panul es muy grave, y quiero ser enfática con las autoridades ambientales de que este proyecto inmobiliario no se puede efectuar porque los estudios de impacto ambiental que hizo el Servicio de Evaluación Ambiental de la Región Metropolitana así lo demostraron hace cuatro meses atrás, declarándolo inadmisible porque no cumplía con las exigencias mínimas”, afirmó la senadora Alvear.

La parlamentaria explicó que la ex ministra de Bienes Nacionales, Romy Schmidt, mostró interés y preocupación cuando le comunicó la situación del Fundo El Panul, por tal razón aceptó la invitación de la senadora Alvear de apoyar la causa y hoy se encuentra asesorando a los dirigentes sociales de la comuna en esta materia.

“Justamente nos hemos reunido con la ex ministra de Bienes Nacionales, Romy Schmidt, para continuar trabajando y hacer las gestiones pertinentes para conseguir nuestro objetivo que es impedir la destrucción de este ecosistema tan importante para los vecinos de La Florida como también para Santiago”, puntualizó Alvear.
