Duros cuestionamientos hizo la mesa de la DC en contra del embajador chileno en Argentina, Adolfo Zaldívar. Los dardos de la directiva apuntaron al rol político que adoptó el ex senador durante la visita que realizó a Santiago esta semana, pese a su calidad de diplomático.

En una entrevista la noche del jueves en CNN, Zaldívar criticó duramente a la falange. Dijo que habían perdido el centro político, que habían bajado en los resultados electorales a pesar de que él había dejado al partido con un gran respaldo, y que "fue expulsado por una directiva que no tuvo grandeza ni generosidad para ver los problemas que estaban en juego".

Ante ello, el vicepresidente Jorge Burgos dijo que el rol político que asumió Zaldívar es incompatible con su papel de embajador, razón por la cual "espero que la Contraloría diga o haga algo". "No sé si el Presidente designó un jefe de la misión diplomática en Buenos Aires o un personero político en Santiago", agregó Burgos.

En la misma línea, el presidente de la colectividad, Ignacio Walker, dijo que las palabras del embajador demuestran la "odiosidad" que aún siente por la DC, enfatizando que en el partido "no hay ninguna nostalgia con su liderazgo".

Asimismo, Walker desestimó que la apertura que el partido ha demostrado para reintegrar a ex militantes esté dirigida a cercanos al "colorín".

"El acuerdo del consejo DC de abrir las puertas va dirigido básicamente a los militantes de base y no a los ex dirigentes", afirmó Walker.
